DMCA and Copyright Policy
We respect the work of artists and rights holders. If you believe SCSaver is being used with your content without permission, this page explains how to tell us and what we will do.
In short
- SCSaver does not host or store any music.
- Rights holders can ask us to block their content from being processed.
- Send your notice by email. We review every request quickly.
- False claims can have legal consequences, so please be accurate.
How SCSaver works
SCSaver does not keep copies of tracks. When someone pastes a public SoundCloud link, the file is fetched from SoundCloud at that moment and sent to that person. Because the content lives on SoundCloud, the fastest way to remove it everywhere is to also report it to SoundCloud directly.
What we can do
When we receive a valid notice, we block the reported tracks, playlists or accounts so SCSaver can no longer process them. We usually act within a few working days.
How to send a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject “DMCA notice” and include:
- Your full name, address, phone number and email.
- The work you own, such as the song title and artist.
- The SoundCloud link or links you want blocked.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that this use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you own the rights or are allowed to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature. Typing your full name is enough.
Notices that are missing any of these details may take longer to process.
Counter-notice
If you believe content was blocked by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same email. Include:
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- The link that was blocked.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe it was blocked by mistake.
- Your agreement to the jurisdiction of the relevant court.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We will forward it to the person who sent the original notice and may restore the content if they don't take legal action.
Repeat misuse
If a Supporter repeatedly uses SCSaver to infringe copyright, we will end their access without a refund. See our Terms of Service.
Please be accurate
Under the law, anyone who knowingly sends a false notice or counter-notice may be responsible for damages. If you are not sure whether content infringes your rights, please get legal advice first.
